This last week GCAP was privileged once again to be part of the Kansas Safety and Health conference. This was the 69th annual event and Tate Minchew (GCAP Lead Instructor) gave two presentations for the event. His presentations were titled “Dangers In Heat Transfer Applications” while one was industrial ammonia refrigeration based and the other was geared towards steam boilers.
The DOL Safety and Health Conference is one of the official resources for emergency personnel, employers, employees, safety professionals and others whom attend for training. The four-day event begins with a two-day conference featuring the latest in regulations, changes in laws and upcoming rules. Additionally, the conference features highly anticipated exhibitors that display the latest in safety and health equipment and technology. The conference concludes with two days of Professional Development Classes in the 10-Hour OSHA Outreach Training for General Industry and Construction.
Attendees this year also were able to be part of a unique training session on arc flash and it’s adherent dangers. Live demonstrations were performed and truly awed the audience. GCAP is thankful to be part of this event and look forward to helping in 2019.
